In an ever-shifting landscape, how does one work towards being published or self-publishing, or embark on a collaborative publishing venture?\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis course seeks to demystify artist publishing through addressing key topics such as finances and sharing guidance based on the first-hand experience of the course’s tutor, Johanna Tagada Hoffbeck – an artist published internationally and who has run her own artist imprint for a decade.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis course is open to new to established artists who are interested in publishing their work or learning about self-publishing to create their own publications and imprint. It is particularly aimed at those with a visual arts practice, but welcomes those from other art practices, including writing.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eParticipants will learn how to prepare a body of work towards publication and gain skills, confidence, inspiration, vocabulary and an appreciation for the patience and playfulness this process requires.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is the fifth iteration of this popular course at Camden Art Centre. For this edition, based on participant feedback, the course has been extended from four to six weeks to include an additional session on paper and a more in-depth session on bookbinding.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs co-creator and co-editor of \u003cem\u003eJournal du Thé\u003c\/em\u003e, this course offers a unique playlist of herbal teas shared by Johanna across the course.
