About the maker
Louisa Loakes is an artist & block printer based in Peckham, London, UK. Louisa’s practice currently focuses on two printing processes; block printing and etching. These two processes inform each other and come together grounded and guided by geometric forms into an abstract landscape. Louisa’s hand carved and hand block printed & painted patterns are charged with a human touch, the irregularities that appear in the printing process give each piece a distinct energy and identity.
