The journey to this site during her first ever trip to the island is the subject of her new work presented in the exhibition: \u003ci\u003e5C Jacques Road: Part One\u003c\/i\u003e (2026). Conceived as a travelogue, and captured with an energised immediacy on her iPhone, the single-channel video takes audiences with the artist on her voyage of discovery, accompanied by a new composition featuring field recordings collected en route.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAbout the artist\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003eAin Bailey\u003cspan\u003e (b. 1963, London) is a composer, artist and DJ. She facilitates workshops considering the role of sound in the formation of identity, and the exploration of memory and sound. In 2020 Bailey and Ego Ahaiwe Sowinski created a composition and print entitled \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003eRemember To Exhale\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e for Studio Voltaire, London. Bailey’s most recent commission was for FACT Liverpool’s Resolution research project, for which she created the installation \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003eFour\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e (2024). She was the 2022-23 Cavendish Arts Science Fellow at Girton College, University of Cambridge.
