About the artist
Tommaso Corvi Mora (b. Piacenza, Italy 1969) began working with contemporary art as a curator and writer, then in galleries in Milan and in Cologne. In 1996 he opened the Robert Prime Gallery with Gregorio Magnani featuring artists such as Angela Bulloch, Isa Genzken, and Jim Isermann. In 2000 he opened Corvi-Mora Gallery, now in Kennington, London, representing both British and international artists, including Dee Ferris, Dominique Gonzalez Foerster and Roger Hiorns. He has been a Contemporary Art Society Trustee since 2008. Corvi Mora also began working with ceramics in 2009. He has since exhibited internationally at Camden Arts Centre, London, curated by Duro Olowu; Somerset House, London; ICA Milano; Pulitzer Foundation, St. Louis; Salon 94, New York; and Galerie Chert, Berlin, amongst other spaces. The artist’s work was included in Vitamin C: Clay and Ceramic in Contemporary Art, published by Phaidon in 2017. in 2021 he was nominated for the Premio Faenza at the International Museum of Ceramics (MIC), Faenza, Italy.
