About the work
This silkscreen is a continuation of the series of site specific, large-scale prints produced on the occasion of Sillman's 2019 exhibition at Camden. Graphic elements are paired with painterly gestures and abstract patterns, and the resulting shapes have a sequential logic, dynamism, and flux that is characteristic of her practice. Painting is brought into direct contact with print and drawing, and the resulting effect is one that is rich with energy, transformation, and defiance.
