To celebrate the release of his major new monograph, Andy Holden: Weight of Imagination, written by Jennifer Higgie and published by HENI, Andy Holden presents a one-man variety show, revisiting several of his older works that are featured in the book.
Described by the artist as “A Duchampian style suitcase of small, travel-sized versions of previous performances”, his live presentation will be followed by an informal conversation with Jarvis Cocker, who has written the book’s foreword and engaged with Holden’s career for almost a decade.

Biographies
Andy Holden (born 1982, Bedford, UK) wrote a manifesto for art titled, ‘Maximum Irony! Maximum Sincerity’ as a teenager and rose to attention with Art Now: Andy Holden at Tate Britain, London, in 2010. Since then, he has exhibited internationally, including at Kettle’s Yard, Cambridge, UK; Benaki Museum, Athens; Charles Moffett, New York and Kröller-Müller Museum, Netherlands. He received the Paul Hamlyn Award in 2012, was included in the Future Generation Art Prize (2017) and British Art Show 9 (2022) and in 2017, was commissioned by Google Arts and Culture for the BBC. He has upcoming solo exhibitions at Seventeen, London (November 2026) and Milton Keynes Gallery (spring 2027).
Jarvis Cocker is a musician, broadcaster and writer. He formed the band Pulp in 1978, whilst at secondary school. The band went on to become one of the most successful UK music groups of the 1990s. Between 2009 and 2017, and again in 2026, he presented Jarvis Cocker’s Sunday Service on BBC Radio 6Music, as well as the ongoing, award-winning BBC Radio 4 documentary series Wireless Nights. Cocker has honorary doctorates from both Sheffield Hallam University and Central Saint Martin’s School of Art (which he attended from 1988 to 1991). His lyric collection Mother, Brother, Lover was published by Faber in 2011. Good Pop, Bad Pop, his first work of long-form prose, was published by Jonathan Cape in 2022.
